The Monaco Yacht Show returns to Port Hercule from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 September 2026, celebrating its 35th anniversary; the show has set the superyacht calendar since 1991. Four days, one harbour, and the whole superyacht industry inside it. Dates, opening hours and the Wednesday rule
The show runs across four days, and they are not four versions of the same day. Wednesday 23 September opens 10am to 6:30pm and the show calls it invitation only, which needs unpacking: what is reserved that day is the Dockside Area, the quays where the yachts lie, and it is held for invited private clients and Prestige VIP Guest passes. A paid Wednesday pass does exist, but it buys the exhibition areas without the yachts. Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September run 10am to 6:30pm and are open to all. Saturday 26 September runs 10am to 6pm. One detail that catches people out every year: access is allowed only until 30 minutes before closing, so a 6:20pm arrival on Thursday is not an arrival at all. Plan the last entry, not the last hour.
Tickets are online only, and the passes are not equal
There is no box office at Port Hercule. Every ticket is bought in advance through the official Monaco Yacht Show ticketing, and you receive a digital voucher to scan at the entrance. The 2026 prices, VAT included, are a Wednesday pass at EUR 400 (Dockside Area excluded), a 1-day pass at EUR 700, a 2-day pass at EUR 1,300 and a 3-day pass at EUR 2,070, all three excluding Wednesday. Admission is free for children up to and including eight years old.
The distinction that matters is the Dockside Area: that is the afloat exhibition, the quays where the superyachts and tenders actually lie. A standard Visitor Pass reaches it from Thursday onwards, but not on Wednesday, when dockside access is reserved for private clients and Exhibitor Guest badges. If the yachts are the reason you are coming, buy for Thursday or later, or ask your broker about an Exhibitor Guest pass.
What is on the water in 2026
The published fleet for this edition runs to more than 120 superyachts and over 70 luxury tenders, with an average fleet length of around 50 metres and megayachts past the 100-metre mark. Close to 40 are new launches, which is the real reason the industry comes: this is the one week a year when the season's debuts are lying side by side and can be compared in the water rather than in a brochure.
Around them, more than 560 exhibitors fill the quays and the tented areas: shipyards, designers and naval architects, brokers, yacht managers, equipment suppliers, insurers, ports and marinas. The exhibition is organised into named zones, with the Dockside Area for the afloat display, plus the Sailing Yacht Area and the Adventure Area. The Monaco Yacht Summit runs conferences and roundtables alongside it, free to attend with a valid pass, subject to space.
New for 2026: the Designer Gallery, the BOAT Lounge and Blue Wake
The biggest change this year is the Designer Gallery, which takes over from the former Yacht Design and Innovation Hub. Instead of studios scattered across the show, the leading yacht designers, naval architects and creative practices are gathered on a single waterfront platform inside the Dockside Area, with the MYS Immersive Experience next door letting visitors walk through projects that have not been built yet. If you are at the stage of choosing who will design a yacht rather than which yacht to buy, this is the most efficient hour you will spend all week, and it is the same ground we cover with clients in new build consultancy.
The BOAT Lounge, launched with BOAT International, adds a dedicated space for meetings and conversation at the centre of the show, alongside daily BOAT Radio sessions and the end-of-day Networking Decks. And Blue Wake, the show's environmental programme, returns with 60 solutions validated this year through an independent assessment run with the Water Revolution Foundation, judged on emissions, material circularity, eco-design and the protection of marine ecosystems. For owners, it is the shortest route to suppliers whose environmental claims have actually been checked.
Getting in, and getting around Port Hercule
There are four public entrances: Quai Antoine Ier, Parvis Piscine on Boulevard Albert Ier, Quai Chicane and Quai Albert Ier. Two further VIP entrances, at Quai Albert Ier (Upper Deck Lounge) and Quai Louis II, serve Exhibitor Guest, MYS VIP and Prestige VIP passes. Port Hercule is larger on foot than it looks on the map, so use the free transport: electric golf carts shuttle between the exhibition areas and MYS shuttle boats run to the various docks, both from 10am to 6:30pm (6pm on Saturday) and both free for every participant. Crossing the harbour by water is faster than walking round it, and considerably more pleasant.
Getting to Monaco is easy in every direction. Nice Cote d'Azur airport is about 30 minutes by road, with the Line 80 coach every 45 minutes and a helicopter transfer in about 7 minutes. The Monaco Monte-Carlo railway station has its own Port Hercule exit. If you drive, the Salines park-and-ride at the entrance to the Principality is the sensible choice, at up to 50 per cent less than a city-centre car park and about 15 minutes' walk from the port. And a detail worth pocketing: every bus in Monaco is free from 18 to 30 September, with no ticket required. One thing you cannot do is arrive in your own yacht - Port Hercule is closed to visiting yachts for the duration, and tenders berth at the designated pontoons, with most passes collected at the Quai Antoine Ier entrance. Drone flying is prohibited across the whole period.
Getting on board is a booking, not a queue
This is the part visitors most often get wrong. A ticket admits you to the show; it does not admit you to a yacht. The yachts are visited exclusively by appointment, arranged with the exhibiting shipyard or broker and entirely at their discretion, and the show's own advice is to contact exhibitors well before the doors open. By Thursday morning the good slots on the newest hulls are gone, and no amount of standing at a passerelle will produce one.
This is exactly what a broker is for. We arrange viewings in advance, sit them in a sensible order so you are not crossing the harbour four times, and come aboard with you.
