Yacht services built around Mediterranean ownership
Divo Yacht is a full-service yacht agency on the Italian Riviera, working with owners, captains, management companies, and charter clients across the Mediterranean. Every service we offer is delivered in-house by our team in Imperia and Ventimiglia, and coordinated through a single project manager so nothing falls between disciplines. Whether you are buying your first yacht, commissioning a 50-metre custom build, or preparing a 24-metre M/Y for a summer charter season, the brief comes to one team and stays there from first conversation to delivery.
How an engagement usually begins
Most engagements start with one of three conversations. A buyer approaches us with a brief (size, budget, cruising area, time horizon) and we build a shortlist; an owner asks for help commissioning a new build and we enter shipyard negotiations on their behalf; or a yacht arrives at Porto di Imperia, Porto Maurizio, Ventimiglia or Monaco and needs arrival formalities, berthing, and local support. From there we scale the team to the brief. Complex engagements pull in technical surveyors, flag-state specialists, and classification-society contacts; short-cycle charter support runs through our concierge desk. Book a conversation via our contact pages or email directly.
Who we work with
Our clients span private yacht owners, family offices holding yachts in corporate structures, captains running 25-60 metre vessels, MYBA-member charter brokers, and specialist buyers evaluating Italian-built motor yachts. We also act for buyers from outside the Mediterranean - North American, Middle Eastern and Asian owners who want local representation in a market that still does most of its deal-making in person. All engagements are conducted in the client's working language across our seven supported languages (English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian).
Why the Italian Riviera as a service base
Liguria sits at the geographic centre of the Mediterranean superyacht market. Within a 90-minute drive of our Imperia office are the Azimut-Benetti, Ferretti Group, Sanlorenzo, Riva, Custom Line and Baglietto shipyards. Within a 40-nautical-mile cruise are Monaco, Sanremo, and every major marina of the western Riviera. That proximity matters for new-build supervision, refit project management, and time-sensitive technical work. It also matters for cost: provisioning, crewing and dockside labour in Liguria typically run 20-30% below Cote d'Azur rates, and we pass that arbitrage on to clients when it applies. Working across the Mediterranean
While our offices are Ligurian, our service area is the entire western Mediterranean. We handle yachts cruising the Italian Riviera (Genoa, Portofino, Santa Margherita, Sanremo), the French Riviera (Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez), Corsica, Sardinia, and the Balearics. For longer itineraries in the Tyrrhenian, Adriatic or Aegean, we coordinate with vetted partner agencies. Browse our current yacht inventory or our builder directory for purchase-side context.
Engagement formats and how we charge
We work in three engagement formats. Fixed-fee scopes cover discrete deliverables - a survey, a flag-state registration, a delivery passage - where the brief and timeline are known up-front. Retainers apply to multi-month engagements such as new-build supervision or full yacht management, and are billed monthly against a written deliverables list. Success fees apply to brokerage and central-agency mandates and follow MYBA-aligned commission norms (typically 10% on the seller side, with co-broker splits negotiated case by case). Every engagement starts with a written scope letter that names the fee structure, the team, and the exit criteria - so an owner always knows what they are paying for and when the engagement ends. What services does Divo Yacht offer?
Divo Yacht offers six core services: yacht sales and brokerage, new-build supervision, yacht management, technical assistance and refit coordination, concierge and provisioning, and owner representation. All services are delivered end-to-end by in-house staff from our offices in Imperia and Ventimiglia on the Italian Riviera.
Do you charge a fee for an initial consultation?
No. The first conversation is always free, whether you are evaluating a purchase, considering a new build, or looking for local representation in the Mediterranean. We invoice only once a scope is agreed and a written engagement is signed.
What size yachts do you work with?
Our brokerage and management book centres on yachts from 24 to 90 metres. We take on smaller yachts (from about 15 metres) for charter brokerage and port services, and we manage commercial new-build engagements for yachts up to 100 metres. If your yacht falls outside these ranges, we will still provide an honest assessment or a referral.
Do you represent buyers or sellers?
Both. In sales, we act for either side depending on the engagement. In new-build projects, we exclusively represent the buyer against the shipyard - the yard has its own sales team, and the buyer needs an advocate with equivalent technical depth. In charter we represent the yacht; in management we represent the owner.
What is the difference between yacht management and owner representation?
Yacht management is an ongoing operational engagement (crew payroll, flag compliance, budgeting, classification, insurance). Owner representation is specific to negotiations and advocacy during a transaction - typically a build, a major refit, or a sale - and ends when the deal closes. Owners often use both services together.
In which languages can you deliver service?
English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. Briefings, contracts, surveys and charter documentation can be produced in any of these seven languages.
How quickly can you respond to a dockside issue?
For yachts in Imperia, Sanremo, Ventimiglia or Monaco, we can have a team member aboard within 2-3 hours. For yachts further afield on the Italian or French Riviera, same-day response is standard during the summer season. After-hours dockside escalations go via WhatsApp to +39 338 994 3994.
Can you work with captains and management companies?
Yes. A meaningful share of our engagements come through captains and third-party management companies, particularly for Italian-market sales, technical projects, and Italian-Riviera port services. We are set up to plug into an existing management structure rather than replace it.
How does payment of fees work in practice?
Fixed-fee scopes are billed 50% on signature and 50% on delivery. Retainers are billed monthly in advance with itemised time logs at quarter-ends. Brokerage success fees are settled at closing through the central agency or escrow account. We invoice in EUR by default; USD and CHF are available on request. We are an Italian VAT-registered entity (IT 01765520083) and issue compliant invoices for European, Swiss, UK and US-domiciled clients.
